Bundy's pecan pie recipe!


As featured in Steve Seabury's "Mosh Potatoes" check it out if you want to try a true southerners pecan pie.

1 cup dark corn syrup
3 large or jumbo eggs3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (not imitation)
pinch of ground cinnamon
pinch of ground nutmeg
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans, about 6 oz.
1 unbaked 9-inch deep-dish pie crust

Preheat the oven to 350F
Stir the corn syrup, eggs, sugars, butter, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg together in a large bowl, until well blended. Mix in the pecans. Pour into the pie crust.

Bake in center rack for 55-60 minutes. Turn off the oven and let the pie sit inside for 10-15 minutes. Check pie's center with a knife to ensure a solid mixture. Once pie is no longer runny, remove it from the oven and set out to cool. Let cool for 2 hours.
